Summer Pt1
This summer we have been making the most of it, with lots of water sports, swimming and ice cream to keep cool! Summer kicked off for us with the leaving party for Natalie and Rene and then soon after a goodbye dinner for Fannette and Brice. Luckily they're all going back to Europe, so we'll be able to visit them again one day. We had a voucher for Mitchell's birthday to go kayaking in La Jolla, and once it had warmed up enough for water sports we booked it! It was fun, the tour took us along the coast and into a sea cave, where there were sea lions lined up for a snooze. It was very cool to see this cave which is only accessible by boat. After the kayak tour, we got some lunch in La Jolla and then spent the afternoon by the beach. While we made sure to suncream very thoroughly, we both missed the tops of our feet while kayaking and had red feet for the next few days.
